Multimedia Digital Experience

The main objective of the Multimedia Digital Experience Zone at IFFI was to offer an immersive and engaging experience to renowned international and domestic film historians, media and public figures and students across age groups. Major highlights embracing the exhibition were designated to glorify 50 successful years of IFFI, which started way back in 1952. At the event, the success of cinema was celebrated by screening some popular films from across the globe. IFFI was, therefore, a huge platform for new filmmakers, enthusiasts, and potential cinematographers.

Installations That Spoke Of Cinema History

The finesse of tech work can be seen in the mega installations like Projection Mapping shows, Zoetrope and Hologram Installations. Engaging exhibits like AR, VR and 360 degrees studio bullet-time zone with 50 cameras were some activities that put the show at buzz.

The initial installation walked through a big façade with a projection mapping show to describe the emergence of films and narrate interesting anecdotes from different phases of cinema. Exclusive Installations and Sound and Light Shows catered to movies that have once seized IFFI theatres and were honored for their outstanding performance. The exhibition also witnessed eminent personalities of Indian cinema, their film journey, and experiences at IFFI.

Filmstars Gracing The Screens

An incredible journey of superstars like Rajnikanth and Amitabh Bachchan and the originators of the film industry like Dadasaheb Phalke and Satyajit Ray, as well as many other popular celebrities, was also presented in the form of communication mediums. The exhibition also covered the principles of Mahatma Gandhi, addressing people about his ideologies in life using cinema being a medium. A heartfelt tribute was paid to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary by recounting his contribution to the world through Indian and foreign movies.
